Subnautica below zero map spawn point8/11/2023 ![]() Lead is used in all sorts of items, including the Seatruck vehicle that can be its own mobile base. There’s also a small chance to get Lead from the Sea Monkeys that drop random items, but the odds of it aren’t anything like high enough to make it worth the gamble. From this point, check any rock surface - walls, the ground, overhangs and caves - for Lead Galena Outcrops.Īs mentioned, there are multiple areas that can have these outcroppings, but this is the easiest one to check early on in the game, especially if you have a Seaglide or other vehicle. You should reach the deeper area of the Twisty Bridges biome, marked by long, curling “bridges” of plantlife underwater. From the starting pod, head South for roughly 500-1000 meters, depending on your spawn. It's quite easy to get lost in this area, so it's worth leaving. They’re actually found in multiple biomes across the map, usually in most of the mid-to-late game underwater areas, but some will be easier to reach than others. At a depth of 325m, players should turn northwest, and pass between two purple vents to find the entrance to the Crystal Caves biome. Now you know to check the Galena Outcrops for Lead, you need to know where to find these rock nodes. Alternatively, scanning this little node will tell you what material is inside, though with the time this takes you might as well just crack it open and check. When broken, they have a 50% chance to drop a piece of Lead, so by chipping through these you have a decent chance of finding them. Specifically, they should look for the “Galena Outcrops”, a jagged, dark, flinty version that looks somewhat like a piece of coal. To get Lead in Subnautica Below Zero players can have the best chance by checking the small, breakable rock nodes. To teleport to coordinates, use the warp command: warp x y z See Console Commands for how to enable the debug menu. There is another item that requires Synthetic Fiber in the game, but in the interest of no spoilers, just make sure you have enough Spiral Plant Clippings saved up to craft another piece of Fiber.Where to Get Lead in Subnautica Below Zero This page contains coordinates used for locating points of interest in Sector Zero, as well as maps used to keep track of other things such as biomes, resources, fauna, etc. These are all pretty valuable upgrades.Įach of these items requires one Synthetic Fiber to craft. Synthetic Fibers are used to craft the Reinforced Dive Suit, the Stillsuit, the first Prawn Suit Depth Module, and the second Seatruck Depth Module. You will need six Plant Clippings in total, which means only three Spiral Plants harvested. One trip to the Ventgardens is enough to get all the Spiral Plant Clippings you need to craft the required Synthetic Fiber. All over the red platforms inside are a bunch of Spiral Plants, sometimes up to 20 individual plants. The Leviathan cannot attack you while you are inside the Ventgarden, but it might try. This should keep it safe(ish) from the Chelicerate. Park the Seatruck underneath the Adult Ventgarden. It's a good idea to stay close to the seafloor while you travel towards the Ventgardens. Ice Worm advertisement Ice Worms are ancient and deadly creatures. This portion will explain leviathan class organisms. You will hear a Chelicerate on your way. updated Welcome to IGN's Subnautica: Below Zero guide.Start at the Delta Station Dock and head directly south for about 600 meters. ![]()

Steam engine inventor black8/11/2023 ![]() ![]() In this he was successful with audience attendance at his lectures increasing from year to year for more than thirty years. Īt this point he gave up research and devoted himself exclusively to teaching. His position at Glasgow University was filled by Alexander Stevenson. In 1766, treading in the footsteps of his friend and former teacher at the University of Glasgow, Black succeeded William Cullen as Professor of Medicine and Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh (Cullen had moved to Edinburgh in 1755). He used this phenomenon to illustrate that carbon dioxide is produced by animal respiration and microbial fermentation. ![]() ![]() Black also found that when bubbled through an aqueous solution of lime ( calcium hydroxide), it would precipitate calcium carbonate. He found that limestone ( calcium carbonate) could be heated or treated with acids to yield a gas he called "fixed air." He observed that the fixed air was denser than air and did not support either flame or animal life. Black's discovery of the latent heat of water would have been interesting to Watt, informing his attempts to improve the efficiency of the steam engine invented by Thomas Newcomen and develop the science of thermodynamics.īlack also explored the properties of a gas produced in various reactions. Black provided significant financing and other support for Watt's early research in steam power. Black and James Watt became friends after meeting around 1757 while both were at Glasgow. The theory ultimately proved important not only in the development of abstract science but in the development of the steam engine. He also showed that different substances have different specific heats. Black's theory of latent heat was one of his more-important scientific contributions, and one on which his scientific fame chiefly rests. The theory of latent heat marks the beginning of thermodynamics. From these observations, he concluded that the heat applied must have combined with the ice particles and boiling water and become latent. Additionally, Black observed that the application of heat to boiling water does not result in a rise in temperature of a water/steam mixture, but rather an increase in the amount of steam. In 1761, he deduced that the application of heat to ice at its melting point does not cause a rise in temperature of the ice/water mixture, but rather an increase in the amount of water in the mixture. In 1757, Black was appointed Regius Professor of the Practice of Medicine at the University of Glasgow. The world's first ice-calorimeter, used in the winter of 1782–83, by Antoine Lavoisier and Pierre-Simon Laplace, to determine the heat evolved in various chemical changes, calculations which were based on Joseph Black's prior discovery of latent heat. Throughout his career he used a variety of diagrams and formulas to teach his University of Edinburgh students how to manipulate affinity through different kinds of experimentation. He used the term affinity to describe the force that held such combinations together. He added the principle of Air when his experiments showed the presence of carbon dioxide, which he called fixed air, thus contributing to pneumatic chemistry.īlack's research was guided by questions relating to how the principles combined with each other in various different forms and mixtures. Like most 18th-century experimentalists, Black's conceptualisation of chemistry was based on five principles of matter: Water, Salt, Earth, Fire and Metal. During his studies he wrote a doctorate thesis on the treatment of kidney stones with the salt magnesium carbonate. In 1746, at the age of 18, he entered the University of Glasgow, studying there for four years before spending another four at the University of Edinburgh, furthering his medical studies. He was educated at home until the age of 12, after which he attended grammar school in Belfast. His mother was from an Aberdeenshire family that had connections with the wine business and his father was from Belfast, Ireland, and worked as a factor in the wine trade. The chemistry buildings at both the University of Edinburgh and the University of Glasgow are named after Black.īlack was born "on the banks of the river Garonne" in Bordeaux, France, the sixth of the 12 children of Margaret Gordon ( d. He was Professor of Anatomy and Chemistry at the University of Glasgow for 10 years from 1756, and then Professor of Medicine and Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh from 1766, teaching and lecturing there for more than 30 years. Joseph Black (16 April 1728 – 6 December 1799) was a Scottish physicist and chemist, known for his discoveries of magnesium, latent heat, specific heat, and carbon dioxide. Best mainstage pizzicato bass8/11/2023 ![]() As with all of Orchestral Tools libraries, this one has that fantastic Berlin Hall sound that is quite unique to their libraries. Often at discounted prices, for example 99 bucks for Silver version. ![]() Cinebrass Core has most of what you need. However, to have all the articulations and sections, you’d need to buy both Cinebrass Pro and Cinebrass Core. Easy to use and great interface with a lot of mixing potential. One of my favorite brass libraries for that big sound. The albions also contain synths, extra percussion, loops, and more. Definitely would recommend buying something like Albion One as your first big orchestral sample library. My favorite ones of these are Albion 3: Iceni which is specifically for that low end and dark orchestral sound, and Albion One for big and bold full orchestra. Fantastic libraries for beginners, but also for professionals. These libraries have great articulations for strings, brass, woodwinds, percussion and sound design. The Albion Series (Spitfire Audio, Kontakt)ĭifferent pricings, but a lot for the money. Here are some of my favorite all-in-one libraries: ![]() Once you buy the section-specific libraries, you’ll get more bespoke articulations for those sections, because the sample developers have spent a lot more time on that specific section.Īpart from the orchestral sections, in several ones of these you also get extra content like organs, synths, ethnic percussion, and more. Some of the full orchestral libraries have more articulations, and some less. This is what you mostly use as an orchestral composer anyways, so these all-in-one libraries are highly useful.

Sim racing rig8/11/2023 ![]() I had a good experience when I purchased my rig from Rseat. They pale in comparison to the RSEAT N1 rig. How we keep the lights on: affiliate disclosure and editorial policy. I have had several other racing rigs: Playseat, Obutto Revolution and the Next Level Racing GT Ultimate V2. If you’ve got any questions about Sim Dynamics, get in touch with Simon directly here. I think I’d run long past the expiry date of my old rig and Sim Dynamics have stepped in and renewed my enthusiasm in a big way. We provide racing enthusiasts with the best sim racing rigs & racing equipments. But more importantly like that, I’m a more comfortable driver and I’m enjoying the racing again. SIMRIGS is a family owned business & operating in Melbourne, Australia. The Sim Dynamics rig is aesthetically a work of art and very pleasing to the eye. So it’s important to know how sim rigs can differ before you start shopping. They can dictate the style of sim racing wheel base you can mount to it, as well as the amount of space you’ll need. Is it worth upgrading to this sort of rig? Sim rigs are one of the most important choices you can make when building a sim racing set-up. Tiredness can be a killer for lap time, especially at the end of a race when you’re distracted, there’s much less of that and I’m a more focused driver. High performance to support your journey to the top step of the podium OverPower GT sim racing rig is an excellent choice for rally and GT simulations. Clearly, the driver ergonomics have been taken into account – I’ve got the right amount of support from the seat and I’m sat precisely where I want to be to hold the wheel and reach the pedals without any of that causing fatigue.īecause I fit properly in the cockpit, and I have the right FOV setup thanks to better monitor positioning I’m feeling less tired through a race. By the end of the conversation I was (I’m delighted to say) chosen as one of the first UK recipients of his brand new and in-house designed Sim-Dynamics Pro sim rigs.īetter monitor position, ultra-comfortable seat and a huge improvement in ergonomics I shared my frustrations about sim chassis flex with Simon Mason, owner of Sim Dynamics in Manchester, UK. You can see it in my heel and toe video here. The higher brake forces possible with my Heusinkveld Sprints means I was experiencing as much as 4° of movement in the pedal base. Not enough to bother me, but it was there. With my Fanatec DD2, I noticed that the main wheel support (a single tube steel unit) had some flex in it. you can find different options or add on for your racing simulator cockpit. It was a beginner rig and while it had served me really well with my Fanatec equipment but it wasn’t up to higher torque demands made by higher-end gear.Īs soon as I started to upgrade my sim components, things started to change. UGX specializes in manufacturing, full-motoring race simulators & flight. For quite a long time I’ve been frustrated by the flex in my old RSEAT RS1. ![]()

Pickling purple onions8/11/2023 ![]() ![]() Sprinkle them over salads for crunch or serve with chutneys, cheese and cold meats, plus crackers. You can put them in any other sandwich you like, as well as burgers, burritos, tacos and fajitas. Serve as part of a ploughman’s lunch spread or on a simple cheese sandwich – they’re especially good with mature cheddar. We recommend writing out a label stating the ingredients and storage instructions. These pickled onions make an ideal edible gift to make ahead and pop in a homemade hamper. We wouldn’t recommend freezing these, as the texture will deteriorate on defrosting. Once opened, they need to be chilled and used within two weeks. You can make and store them for a few weeks, or up to six months before opening. These pickled onions willdevelop flavour over time, during which the acidity will also mellow. While malt vinegar would also work, it will result in a stronger, harsher flavour and dominate the sweetness of the onions. Make sure you sterilise any funnels, ladles or spoons before you use them, too.įor more info watch our video about how to sterilise jars Do I have to use cider vinegar? If you want to use rubber seals, remove the seals before putting the jars in the oven and cover these in just-boiled water from the kettle. Rinse, then place on a baking tray and put in a low oven for 10 mins, or until completely dry. You can use them in place of pickled whole onions, but they’re also a good side or garnish for many Mexican- and South American-inspired dishes. These can be used straightaway or stored as you would a pickle or chutney. In this recipe, we use sliced red onions and cider vinegar to create a milder, sweeter, more colourful version of traditional pickled onions, which are usually pickled in malt vinegar. I like to top my spicy dishes with pickled onion for a bright punch of acid, like I did here on my Whole30 Blackened Salmon recipe.Pickled whole onions are a classic accompaniment to a ploughman’s lunch or cheese sandwich. You’ll get the bonus of beneficial bacteria (probiotics), which are great for improving your gut health! As an added bonus, the flavor is rocking! When choosing an apple cider vinegar, I recommend using one that’s raw and unfiltered, like Bragg’s.But really, because most vinegars are Whole30 compliant, you’re usually okay… but you just never know! Always remember to check your ingredients labels! That’s just me reminding you, because you don’t hear that enough. All you need is a bit of lemon juice, and that’s enough to take the edge off the sharp vinegar taste and keep the recipe Whole30, Paleo, and Keto/Low Carb. You’ll find that a lot of recipes for pickled onions call for refined sugar, but truly, you don’t need it at all. “Soaking onions in acid takes the fire out of them without diminishing the brightness they add to a dish.” Samin Nosrat, chef & author of Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat Making Pickled Onions Keto, Whole30, and Paleo Yup, sugar free pickled onions do exist, and they are awesome! I eat pickled onions with breakfast almost every single day, because they brighten up so many dishes - more of that below! Simple IngredientsĪdding pickled red onions to even the simplest dish just adds something special, and guess what else? There is NO SUGAR added. Maybe it’s the tangy, sweet taste, maybe it’s the crunchy texture, or maybe it’s that beautiful pink color, but these pickled onions are a kitchen staple. Monster jam dallas time8/11/2023 ![]() ![]() The sport has become so big that some events are broadcast on TV. There has even been a series of Monster Jam video games released for all of the major gaming consoles. For starters, there are toy versions of all of the major monster trucks fans see at Monster Jam performances. Over the years, Monster Jam has expanded its audience beyond shows. In case that’s not enough, most Monster Jam shows also feature other types of trick competitions, such as a “donut” competition in which a monster truck will spin until the driver can no longer take it, or a competition to see what truck can do the best trick while only using two of its massive tires. It’s akin to stock car racing but with much larger vehicles. In addition to the freestyle competition, it’s hard to match the exhilaration of the racing portion of the evening. If you’ve never seen Monster Jam in person, what are you waiting for? If you’ve ever been to more than one Monster Jam event, you know that no two shows are the same. Well-known monster trucks like Grave Digger may enter as the favorite, but anything can happen and any truck can win if it does enough to please the crowd with tricks and stunts. Through a website, fans attending Monster Jam get to vote and decide the winner of the freestyle competition. Unlike other types of sporting events in which fans have a limited effect on the outcome outside of cheering and jeering, Monster Jam is an interactive event for those in attendance. It’s sometimes hard to put your finger on why it’s so appealing, but everyone who witnesses a Monster Jam event in person feels endlessly entertained from start to finish. They involve both the racing of monster trucks as well as freestyle driving. Even among other motorsports, Monster Jam events are truly one of a kind. But Monster Jam is one of the few forms of entertainment that involves oversized vehicles doing just about anything they want on a dirt track. There are a lot of ways that people seek entertainment in this world. ![]()

A view to a kill venz8/11/2023 ![]() ![]() Bond and M have their binoculars trained on Zorins luxury box. We then move on to the Ascot Racecourse, where the whole office has gone for the day. The action then shifts to the MI6, where both script and film follow a parallel course with little to no differences. In the script, Kimberly merely falls into the bed and Bond says: “Its five days to Alaska.” In the film, Kimberly puts up a fey protest against Bonds not so subtle pass at her:īOND: Call me James. This is one case where the filmed version is better than the scripted version. In the script the acceleration of the submarine causes Kimberly to fall onto the bed, whereas in the film Bond deliberatly manipulates the controls so that Kimberly falls into his arms. KIMBERLY: I thought youd never get back.īOND: I ran into a few unfriendly natives. Bond snowboards across a lake, pulls out a flare gun and destroys the helicopter before jumping into the waiting arms of Kimberly for a little spy lovin. The only difference in the action in the script calls for Bond to throw his axe at one of the Russian soldiers (which he does not do in the film) as well as have a close call with the helicopter blades (pictured above but not used in the film). The script opens up exactly as the film does, with 007 deep in the heart of Siberia trying to retreive the microchip from the body of 003. What is different is how startlingly professional and solid the character of Stacy Sutton is, the role of Pan Ho is slightly larger than in the film and two whole sequences were snipped from the script (one was filmed, one was not). The plot is the same, the characters are in place and most of the dialogue makes it. ![]() The draft, dated June 20th, 1984 and revised several times in the ensuing months, doesnt differ greatly from the film. Perhaps reasoning that the idea was too fantastical, the writers began taking a different approach to the script. Halley`s comet would make its appearance later in 1985. The original concept for the film was to have Zorin try to alter the course of Halley`s Comet and make it smash into Silicon Valley. Whatever happened afterwards can only be left in the hands of the cast and crew. Reading the first draft and subsequent revisions leaves the reader with the impression of a serious, ambitious, tight and well thought out fun romp of a script by Richard Maibaum and Michael G. There are fears the country - which has burned bridges with Western allies since the coups and turned to Russian private military contractor Wagner Group for help - could slide deeper into chaos if separatist sentiments resurge.Critics of the film A VIEW TO A KILL, who may be looking for someone or something to place blame on, will have to look further than the shooting script to make their points. Security experts say an orderly departure of 13,000 troops and equipment could take a year at least. MINUSMA's mandate runs out on June 30 and it was in talks to extend it before Mali's announcement. In December, CSP-PSD pulled out of talks, saying it would only come back to the table in a neutral country under international mediation. ![]() Still, the signatories have been at odds with the junta that consolidated power in two coups in 20. MINUSMA has struggled to contain the Islamist violence, but it has played a role in placating the separatists, who halted their offensive in 2015 with the Algiers Accord. The force has been in the West African country since 2013 after a Tuareg-led separatist insurgency was hijacked by Islamist groups that have gone on to kill thousands of people and control large parts of the north and centre. It is not clear if or when MINUSMA will leave.
